Tournament Rules

• Games can start as much as 30 minutes early (except the first two of the day).
• 2 minute warmup (start warmup once teams playing pervious game leave the rink).
• Teams will NOT shake hands before or after the game.
• Teams switch ends to start the game.
• Two 15 minute run clock periods (stop clock last minute if score is tied or within 1 goal).
• 1 minute in between periods.
• 1 minute timeouts
• If tied after regulation time during round robin play…game ends in a tie.
• 8 goal mercy rule…must finish the first period.
• Any player receiving 4 or more penalties will receive a game ejection.
• Any team who receives 6 penalties in the game will then be forced to serve all future penalties for the entire 2 minutes.  From penalty seven on, all minors are treated as majors and the player must stay in the penalty box no matter how many goals are scored.
• Tiebreakers: Head to Head, Goal Differential, Goals Against, Goals For, & Coin Toss

Playoffs:

• If tied after regulation; 5 minute 3 on 3 sudden death overtime (stop clock last minute).
• If still tied after overtime; 3 man shootout.
