In Junior High 1, six teams competed to become the 2019 MOIHA State Champions but it was Holt that would raise the cup at the end. Holt made it to the championship by defeating Fort Zumwalt North 3-2 in the quarterfinals and Parkway South 11-9 in the semifinals. Holt’s opponent in the final was the Rockwood Summit Falcons as they received a first round bye and defeated Francis Howell 12-11 in overtime the advance to the championship.

In the championship, the Holt Indians would strike first with a shorthanded goal by Max Cheung but Rockwood’s Bennet Breheny would capitalize on their powerplay and tie the game up 1-1. The Indians reclaimed the lead just 23 seconds later as Collin Barron gave them the 2-1 advantage. The Falcons then added two goals at the end of the first period to take a 3-2 lead heading into the second period of play.

Just 45 seconds in, Holt’s Nathan Blanke would tie the score up and the Indians would take the lead on Issac Fipps’ goal. Rockwood scored two goals after that but the Indians would tally the next five goals to defeat the Falcons 9-5.

In the Junior High 2 division, Fort Zumwalt West defeated Holt 10-0 in the semifinals and Seckman defeated Lindbergh also by a 10-0 score.

The JH2 championship was a low scoring game as the FZW tallied the only goal in the first period and had the 1-0 lead going into the second. FZW added three more goals giving them the 4-0 lead with a little over eight minutes left. Seckman eventually got on the board at the 4:10 mark, but that is all they were able to come up with and FZW was the 2019 JH2 champions.

The Affton Cougars won the Junior High 3 championship by defeating Holt 9-1 in the semifinals and defeating Fort Zumwalt South 8-5 in the final.

In the JH3 championship, The FZS Bulldogs were the first to get on the board, but Affton scored the next four goals to take a 5-1 lead into the second period. The second period was a more evenly matched period as both teams scored four goals apiece. The Affton Cougars defeated the FZS Bulldogs to claim the 2019 JH3 championship.
